Strategic Ocean Solutions provides ongoing communications, science writing and media training for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. The work involves summarizing peer-reviewed science studies, field research projects and technical reports to develop content for news releases and science articles. In addition, SOS conducts periodic media trainings for Scripps scientists to effectively communicate their scientific research to a non-technical audience.
SOS also provided project management and policy support to a panel of expert scientists from UC San Diego to assess the potential impacts of Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant to the ocean for the City of San Diego.
